Welcome to Trehyttene Gjerstad

Trehyttene is located in Gjerstad municipality in Agder. You will receive the exact address when you book your stay.

It takes about 2.5 hours by car from Oslo, and about 1.5 hours from Kristiansand.

The cabins are about 15 minutes from the train station. It is therefore possible to take the train to Gjerstad station and a taxi from the station to the cabins. Contact the hosts if you need help booking a taxi. It is necessary to book a taxi in advance.

• Kråkeslottet: Check-in from 3:00 PM. Check-out by 1:00 PM
• Gjøkeredet: Check-in from 2:00 PM. Check-out by 12:00 PM
• Flåklypa: Check-in from 1:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM
• Vannspeilet: Check-in from 4:00 PM. Check-out by 1:00 PM

By agreeing to the rental terms in our online booking calendar, you agree to the following conditions:

Booking and payment
Online booking is binding once you receive a booking confirmation via email. You will receive a payment invoice via email along with the confirmation. The invoice will have a payment deadline of three weeks. If there are fewer than four weeks until your stay, the payment is due immediately.

The person booking the stay must be over 20 years old and is responsible for the cabin during the stay.

Cancellation
Cancellations can be made by email to aase@trehyttene.no or by phone to Åse at +47 950 53 807. If canceled more than 30 days before arrival, the full amount will be refunded, minus an administrative fee of NOK 249.

If canceled between 30 and 3 days before arrival, 50% will be refunded, minus the administrative fee of NOK 249. Cancellations less than 3 days before arrival will not be refunded.

If you need to cancel due to illness, we recommend checking if your travel insurance covers this.

In the event of strong winds/storms, we may have to cancel a stay at Gjøkeredet. We follow guidelines regarding safe wind conditions for overnight stays. In such cases, we will contact the guests to arrange a solution. If we cancel due to bad weather, guests can choose between rescheduling the stay or receiving a full refund.

Staying at the cabins and cleaning
If more than eight people will stay in the cabin, this must be arranged in advance with the landlord.

Guests are required to read and follow the usage rules for the cabin and the surrounding area. These will be available in the cabin. Guests must leave the cabin and the surrounding area in the same condition as upon arrival. Cleaning supplies are available on the 1st floor of the cabin. You can also order cleaning for NOK 499. Cleaning can be ordered by adding a note when booking online.

Included in the rental price:

• Electricity usage
• Duvets and pillows
• Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, cloths
• High chair + travel cot for children (must be arranged in advance)
• Equipment for the bonfire area, materials, and tools in the workshop
• Boat and life vests in the summer

Additional costs:

• Cabin cleaning if you don’t do it yourself: NOK 499
• Bed linen and towels: NOK 99 per person

Other requests
Please specify when booking if you would like any of these additional services. They can also be ordered no later than the day before your stay.

Keys and directions
Along with the invoice, you will receive an attachment with directions to the cabin and information on where to pick up the key.

Send us an email with the following information:

• The value you would like for the gift card
• Your (purchaser’s) name, address, email
• Any personal message/requests. We are happy to customize the gift card for you.

The gift card will be made with info and pictures of the cabins, along with the gift card’s value. It will also include a code that the person reciving the gift-card can use when booking a stay. We can also create gift cards for specific dates if you wish.

We can send the gift card by email for you to print, or by mail. Please allow time for postal delivery.

We do not charge any fees for creating gift cards. There is no expiration date on the gift card.
